Mac OS X Jaguar (10.2) not supported by Nikon LS-4000?

All, I have seen a few notes on the web noting that the LS-4000 software

3.1.3 is not supported on Mac OS X Jaguar 10.2. Is there any notes from

Nikon regarding this? Or from Apple? Is there any work around yet by going

into classic or should I put it up for sale on Ebay?

I have the Nikon LS-4000 running on Jaguar (10.2.1). Yes, the Nikon software does NOT work. Nikon tech support said that they will have the updated software out shortly (a couple of weeks). I suspect that it will be out by Oct/Nov '02. Don't quote me on this though.

No big loss. I never liked it anyway. Vuescan ($40 from hamrick.com) works wonderfully with this scanner and I can swear I'm getting better raw scans out of my scanner. Note that Vuescan is not a PS plugin. You have to run it as a separate application. This works out nicely because I can now start working on an image in PS while the next slide is being scanned.

Vuescan or any other OEM scanning software.

Well the notice on Nikontechusa.com says they are aware of the problem and

they are working on it.

Contrary to my friends above I am getting very stable and repeatable results

using Nikon Scan 3.1.3.

Why you should want to sell the 4000 I really can't imagine!
