andy_gulliver
A couple of local photo shops have 2X converters for the M645 s/h at reasonable prices (under 100ukp).
One is Vivitar - not sure about the other, but it isn't Mamiya.
I know that TC's are generally recommended for longer lenses, but I would like to get a focal length for portraits on a tight budget and was contemplating a 2X TC with my 70/2.8 to get a 140/5.6 for <100ukp rather than trying to find the 300+ukp for a s/h 150/3.5
Has anyone out there tried this sort of combination and can comment?
Regards AndyG
byron_marr
As far as I can tell, they won't work with lenses shorter than 150mm. I also know that they won't work on the Zooms
jack_hagedorn
I use a Cambo 2x adapter with my Mamiya 645 Super and a normal lense and it works fine.
terry___
I've used a Vivitar 2x on my 80mm 2.8 and as long as you open up 2 stops for any situation other than TTL metered, you are ok.
