alan_bessler
I have a nikon D3100 w/kit lens 18-55G vr, when I try to use the lens distortion correction in the develop module only about 5 lens profiles show up, the closest to the 18-55 shows a nikon 18-200 profile,do I use that one? shouldn't more profiles be in there than that? Do I need to download the rest myself? Help, please. Thanks
michael_young3
For what it's worth, I found a full complement of Canon lens profiles. I also found a big list for Nikons (including, of all things, a lens profile for the P7000). The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR is there.
digitaldog
There is actually a lens downloader app on Adobe Labs.
Note that while you may not have a profile for your lens (and you can build your own), the manual tab allows you to still fix the distortion using manual sliders.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
lisae
I upgraded to 3.3 last night and the 18-55 is now there. (I upgraded specifically for that lens profile.) If you still don't see it, perhaps you could contact Adobe.

Spearhead
Andrew, when you download a profile, how do you get it to show in LR? I downloaded the lens downloader app, then found a lens that was apparently out there in the user profiles, and installed it. It shows as installed in the downloader, but it won't show in LR, including after a couple restarts. OS/X, Snow Leopard, LR 3.3.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal

mark_sirota1
Jeff, could it be that the profile you're looking at is for raw files but the image you're looking at in LR is a JPEG?
