Low Battery file format

Recommended Posts

Hi all- I was shooting some senior photos the other day with my Rebel XT. I shoot RAW and that's what the camera was set to. After the first 10 minutes or so, I noticed the battery indicator was showing low, so I replaced it with a fresh one and continued the shoot. As I'm going thru the images, I find the first 6-8 were recorded as JPEG. Then after the battery was switched, the files are in the RAW format. Is this the default action, that it takes more battery power to create a RAW file? It's not mentioned anywhere in the literature,, and it's not a problem, just thought someone may know. Thanks.
