Looking for good proffesional film labs in San Francisco

Good morning everyone.

I'm going to San Francisco in February, and it looks like I'll have

a bit of work lined up for me while I'm there.

I need to find a couple good labs to process my film while I am

there.

I'll be working mainly with B&W 35mm and 120 size, but there is a

chance that colour negs and slides will be needed as well.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I don't have a large budget,

so a place that has good quality and fair prices would be a plus for

me.

Thanks in advance and happy clicking!

Danny

Check out http://www.lightroom.com/. They're in Berkeley, which is close to SF if you don't mind the drive across the Bay Bridge. I haven't used them, but they have an excellent reputation and a couple of my friends have been very pleased with them. All prices and services are on their web site, plus some helpful information on shooting slides for reproduction and the problems with printing slides.

I use Professional Color Lab on Jessie St. downtown exclusively. After using a number of places, I found Pro Color to offer the best development of everything from B&W to chromes, from 35mm to 4x5. Their prices are pretty reasonable - I picked up a set of 120 chromes today - $4.50 cut and sleeved - and 35mm slides - which I think was $8.50 for 36 slides mounted.

They turn around e-6 in 3 hours standard and c-41 and b&w usually overnight.

Best,

Rick LePage
