Thomas curated a show of 71 photographs from the collection of 293 prints from the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada, comprising Model’s early street photographs in Paris, emboldened portraits along the Promenade des Anglais, as well as her better-known images of Coney Island, Sammy’s Bar in New York and the Running Legs series

Made my day! Awesome pictures. The up in the face approach and use of reflections somewhat reminded me of Vivian Maier, although her work predates Maier and the use of natural light to produce cinematic effects is highly impressive IMO. It’s noteworthy that, like Maier, she never publicized her work, yet her influence possibly disseminated itself through her students to countless photographers in the ensuing generations.
