Help an old timer. I did film photography back in the 90s. Tried to go digital about a decade ago, but the consumer DSLRs of the time had some issues. Just got a new DSLR as a present and, well things have changed in twenty years. Right now I'm fiddling with some Luxe Lens presets then pulling into photoshop to use curves to give the image some pop.

What do I really need here? It looks like this is something where people buy tend to overbuy. I'm looking for a crisp and clear look, portraiture (though I think Luxe Lens probably has that covered), landscape, settings that pop browns (see old Royal Gold series films, especially RG25), B&W and a collection of looks that are "in fashion" this year.

Is there one company that is the standard place to get these? From what I can see, there are a bunch of different collections available from a bunch of different places, and I'd be surprised if the same basic setting are not being repeated over and over in them.
