Lightroom catalog from PC to MAC and back to PC

<p>Hello all, <br /> I am on a PC, assistant doing post offsite is on a MAC<br>

I want to do the cull on the PC<br>

Export as Catalog with all the RAW Files-onto an external HD<br>

Have her copy the folder of the exported catalog from the external HD to her hard drive on the MAC,<br>

do post<br>

Export as Catalog (this is all on the same Hard drive)<br>

Then I copy the catalog back to the PC and make final changes</p>

<p>Can this be done?<br>

I'm pretty sure the PC to Mac migration will be a snap, but bringing it back from the Mac to the PC makes me nervous!<br>

Any opinions or technical instruction?<br>

<p>just make sure the external disk is formatted as FAT32 and there shouldn't be any problem</p>

<p>"Can this be done?"<br />Sure. What Howard said, and most of the rest is copy/paste or drag & drop. I'd keep at least one extra backup copy until your pics come back safe from post. WD external HDs from Wal-Mart work fine for this purpose as an inexpensive solution. LR will read the files on either machine just fin; just make sure you tell LR where the catalog is.</p>
