Lightroom 4.4 cancel installation on Windows 8

<p>Hello all!<br>

I have a very embarrassing situation. I have a new computer with plenty of resources (i7 IvyBridge, 32GB RAM, SSD, good video card, etc) running Windows 8.<br>

I tried to install Lightroom 4.3 then the new 4.4 and each time the system freezes after first clicks when it suppose to start copying the files.<br>

I have all updates done for OS, BIOS, chipset, etc...<br>

I've run sfc/scannow to find eventually broken files...<br>

I tried to run as administrator... then troubleshoot compatibility... the same result...<br>

I changed from "normal startup" to "diagnostic startup"... Here I get a different result. The files are copied up to about 75%, then stops giving an error message (1935) and if I click OK it uninstall everything very fast. Here is a screenshot:<br>

Can you suggest me a solution for this issue? I feel very bad... using computers for 21+ years and never having such as situation. I mention that everything else I installed on the system works as a charm.</p>
