mjferris
Hi All, I've invested in some good equipment: Canon XT Rebel Canon 50mm 1.8 Canon 70-200 F4L Canon 300 F4L Sigma 18-55 Filters (UV and Poloarized) I'm confused as to the best method in Maintaining and Cleaning my equipment. Please advice? Thanks Marty
jeffpolaski
One suggestion: dust it off after a day of shooting with a nice soft shaving brush, the kind you might lather your face with. BTW, one lens, many lenses; "lense" is a Webspeak artifact
michael_dimarzio
I read one suggestion that makes a lot of sense, use a vacum cleaner instead of compressed air. This way you'd obviously remove the dust rather then blow dirt further into it's guts.
steve torelli
AFA lenses go,the best amount of cleaning is the least amount. Clean the sensor when it needs it with a blower for dust spots, if that doesn't get it all, invest in a wet cleaning system, like copper-hill or one of the others, you're gonna need it sooner or later anyway. Don't worry about cleaning your gear too much, dust is a fact of life and it'll have to get pretty bad before it affects your pictures. Good luck.
