ericreagan
I'm heading down to Road Atlanta on October 13 for the WERA Grand National Finals and would like to rent a Canon 100-400 L lens. My searches keep turning up Professional Photo Resources, Inc. as the place to rent from in the Atlanta area. http://www.ppratlanta.com Anybody got any other comments or suggestions on lens rentals in the Atlanta area (as well as recent testimonials of PPR's service)? I've looked at rentals via online companies, but I like the $35 range for a single day rather than the 3-day minimum I find at online rental places. Cheers! zackojones
I may make it up to the GNF for a day or two but I have other work I have to do locally so I can't be there for the whole event. Will you be there all week? Regarding rentals - Call Paul at Lens Pro To Go (508-243-2956 or lensprotogo.com). He will hook you up if he has the lens in stock. The only downside is he only does weekly rentals.
pkallos
I've thought of renting from PPR, but I'm mostly a weekend shooter and they are closed Sunday, so if I rent Saturday morning, I would have to return it Saturday night ( inconvenient ) or else be charged another day. What about those places that mail you the lens?
alan_myers
Hi Eric, Have you checked with KEH (www.keh.com)? I don't know that they rent equipment themselves, but they probably know who in the area does.
rob - atlanta, ga usa
I have used PPR several times. I believe if you pick the lens up Saturday morning, it is not due back until Monday morning and you are only charged for one day. Ask them to be sure that is still the case. ferrer1
aperturent.com rents lenses for Canon and Nikon, as well as some other accessories and lighting equipment, and is based around the Atlanta area, so pickup can be arranged.

This is an old thread, but I thought I'd post this in case anyone else searched for lens rentals in Atlanta.
