William D. Lester
I seem to have lost the push on lens cover for my 40mm CFE lens. BH has covers for a 30mm CFE in stock but I don't know if they are the same size and I'm having difficulty finding the information. Can anyone tell me if they are the same and if not where I might purchase a replacement cover?
William D. Lester
george_carpenter1
I know that this is really no help, but I had the same problem and had a devil of a time finding one; it took a month or better to locate one. Hasselblad no longer makes or stocks them, either. Zeiss is still making their versions of some of the classic Hasselblad lenses, so if the 40mm is one of them, maybe a Zeiss cover would work. I got mine from this guy: http://www.filterfind.net/Home.html at what seemed a reasonable price, all things considered.
carlo_d
The lens cover is made of pliable rubber, Inside it says: 51654 Front Lens cap ø 93-100.
It is 100 mm across (inside diameter). The cap for the 30 mm is lager, 110 mm across.
93 mm refers to the drop in filter size.
The cover fits over the lens, no bayonet system or anything like that, it just slips over.
