robert_thommes1
Does anyone make a lens adapter for the Sony a6000 allowing for the use of Canon EF or EF-S lenses (in auto focus)? How about just in manual focus? I'm a Canon user thinking of reducing my gear to a Sony a6000, and it would be nice if I could use at least a couple of my Canon lenses. Thanks
Laurie1
Hi Robert,
Metabones does a number of adapters. Probably the one best suited for your purpose is this one.
You can read the details, but briefly it allows the aperture to function but you will need to focus manually.
Also a quick search on ebay gives these results.
Laurie
andrew_brown7
Hi,
I have an SRB adapter for my Nikkors to the Nex 6 and I wouldn't spend no $400 on an adapter! And I don't like e-bay either...but SRB now, there's a great company....
enquiries/at/srb-griturn.com {change the /at/ for @}
Andy.

Ed_Ingold
The Metabones adapter gives virtually 100% compatibility with Canon lenses, including aperture control and auto focus. The same adapter can be used for Sony A7 full frame cameras. If you are okay with completely manual control, you can buy adapters for $50 or less. Consider yourself fortunate to have an automatic option. Sony E adapters for Nikon are nearly as expensive but manual only.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=canon+ef+to+sony+E+adapters&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=

Don't be too hasty dumping the Canon body. EVF cameras are a lot slower in operation than SLRs with optical finders. They're not quite up to sports or active children.
ariel_s1
I've said it probably a thousand times, but given that you will lose autofocus, EXIF data, stabilization, aperture control, etc. then the best "adapter" is simply a Canon camera. This is coming from a NEX-6 shooter, by the way. Given that the electronic adapters come nowhere near the performance of any Canon, you'd be better off buying an SL1 or a T5i for Canon lenses.
