Leica SF-20 question

  1. Why does the SF-20 manual say when operating in TTL mode to "Transfer the aperture adjusted on the lens manually to the flashgun so that the correct shooting range is indicated on the LC display." Is this only for informational purposes so that you know what the flash range is?

  2. Yes, it is just so the proper range is displayed. My only complaint
with the SF-20 is that it has no indication if you overexpose the
    subject (by being to close).
