I love my 85/2 Nikor but what went through my mind was the ad slogan "This Bud's For You". Well, I always have papers and my Zippo works in the wind. It's dated August-1955 and was issued for the "18th ALL-AMERICAN SOAP BOX DERBY". Imagine giving out cigarette lighters at a kids' sports event now? But it is about the same age as the Nikor.

No, Eliot, the first M3 above has a smooth edge. It's early enough to lack the frameline preview, but not early enough to have a glass pressure plate or the big bump. It is a real peach. It was completely overhauled by Ken Hanson's people, and has new Vulcanite, silky mechanics, dead-on shutter speeds, and the brightest vf I've seen on an M3 so far. That's my day-to-day camera, and what a treat to use it!

No, El, it is comments like yours. The saddest of this ilk, I ever saw was a guy younger than me who was my boss. The only photo in his office was of his dog, a show purebred something or other. His wife and baby daughter didnt make the grade for office display.

As for this thread, an interesting range of bodies and lenses.
