Leica macro elmar 90 mm lens

<p>I purchased a used leica macro elmar 90 mm lens from a very reliable party. When I extend the lens and lock it in place the white aperture dot is on the left side (the aperture ring is at the top of the lens). Sometimes when I extend the lens I can get the white dot to be almost on top lined up with the focus depth of field center. Just wondring if this is normal? </p>
