richard_bud
Leica says that this bag is suitable for the 'M' camera on its website but all marketing infomration says its for the 'R' camera. I need to carry two M's and 4 lenses, 35A, 50, 75AA and 90AA along with an sf24 flash. I like the weatherproff feature also. Does anyone have any experience with this bag? There is no where in the Chicago area that i can find the bag available to fit my gear into. Its rather pricey so I don't want to order unless i am reasonbly sure it will fit my needs. Any help is appreciated. thanks-Dick

john_romano
Consider one of the Artist and Artisan bags at Photovillage, NYC
john_romano
Also, check-out Mclassics new, smaller bag on Ebay or get in-touch with Seth Levine at mclassics.com
back_alley_.
mclassics has a smaller bag too?
kens
14852 is the large version of this bag. There's also the 14853 small bag - which seems more suitable for the M combination. It's a little cheaper, too, though cheaper is relative.
pablito_pistola
M-classic bags can be very useful, but they also have some drawbacks. They have no padding so they are not ideal for rough travel. On the other hand, they are fast to work from and stay snug against your body. I sometimes carry the Mclassic in my suitcase for use on-site and transport the cameras in a Domke. Look at the Dome F2 or the slightly smaller version. My own experience has taught me that all plastic buckles or snaps break, usually sooner than later. So I'll only use a bag with metal clasps like the Domke or M- classic. Sorry, I have no experience with the Leica bags, but from the photos, they don't look as practial as other alternatives IMO. Good luck
michael_b._elmer
The Leica bags are excellent - practical and durable. The 14852 is best suited for the R9 with DMR, 4-5 lenses, a flasch and other accessories. For your M camera plus 4 lenses and flash, the 14853 is the proper bag. I have ordered it myself for the M8 and lenses.
