Lee Standard Lens Hood and 35mm Lenses

<p>Will the Lee standard lens hood work on a Canon 5D2 with17-40 lens or will they vignette/Thanks for your help....</p>

<p>It will half work. At 40mm it will most probably be fine but at the 17mm end it will most probably vignette. They have a wide angle hood for these problems.</p>

<p>If you must have one for the Lee filter holder system, I would think the 17-40mm would need the wide angle (<a href="http://www.leefiltersusa.com/camera/products/finder/ref:C475678D21F414/">link</a>). The question I would have would be whether that would be wide enough. I can't imagine that the standard one would work. 17-40mm is a very wide angle on a 5D2.</p>

<p>Knock-offs of the Canon EW-83E (that is the proper hood for the 17-40mm) are available for US$4.58 and up on eBay (search EW-83E), if you just need a hood.</p>
