Leaf digital backs?

<p>ive been looking into upgrading my equipment etc. i work in portraiture and looking to improve image quality - currently using my D700. i've come across Leaf digital backs and dont understand what they are. are they in a sense medium format digital backs that fix to 35mm cameras? would a Leaf back work on my D700?</p>

<p>I suggest a trip to either the Leaf or Phase One website or to your local Pro dealer to get an idea of what you're talking about. Another great opportunity to educate yourself is the upcoming Photokina in Cologne and the Photo Expo in NYC.</p>

 

<p>actually, technically, with the new Hartblei adaptor, you wouldn't need your d700, but you could use your nikon lenses, and a leaf back on it... dog gone it, Hartblei, your innovation and cool products have confused the issue!<br>

You might look also at some of the fine Zeiss lenses too available for Nikon mount. The D700 files should be capable of some fine image quality. </p>
