"last visit" cookie

is there a way to disable the "last visit" cookie? I'm not a fan of

the static thread list, IMO threads with new replies should rise to

the top of the stack. so I use the "new replies" page exclusively

(thanks to whomever made that). however I like to see the whole list

of replies over the past say week, which is what you get when you

delete the "last visit" cookie. it's an annoying feature - I read

multiple forums, but not necessarily on the same visit, so it's very

difficult to keep up on fresh threads across forums.

with Firefox (winXP) I can't block the "last visit" cookie without

also blocking the login cookie. Any ideas?
