  1. Why is it that when you click on someones Post instead of that persons Post appearing first on your screen the last reply to the post on the list appears instead. Then you have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to read the original post. It's no show stopper, but it does become a little annoying.
  2. Click "end" to go to the end of the replies and click "home" to go to the first. Does that help?
  3. Where are you clicking from? What page?
  4. with me what can go wrong WILL
But it seems to be ok. works for me.
  5. I think this thread pertains to your question.
I have IE 9 and had the same problem. When I clicked on the compatibility view icon in the URL box at the top of the page, it solved the problem. Don't know why.
  6. I just tried hitting the Compatibility button in IE8 but that did not work ? This does not happen in FireFox or Chrome so it's something that has to do with IE. I'll play around with it and see what I come up with, thanks. Chuck I could not find any 'home" / "end" buttons or links ?
  7. "Home" or "End" on your keyboard Harry.
  8. Nope the "home" "end" keys don't work on my computer, but I decided to login to my old computer which has windows XP and IE7 and the same thing happens. It looks like the cursor was set so that it focuses on the response box when you click on a post.
  9. Yes, the cursor is in the response box, if you are logged in. I think that is by design and is not the problem. But when you click on a thread in a forum you should be taken to the top of the first page for the thread. As I said, I have IE 9. To experiment, I just clicked on my compatibility icon so that it became solid. As a result I had the problem that I think you are describing, where clicking on a thread in a forum immediately took me to the bottom of the first page. I then clicked on the icon again so that it was grayed out, and the problem went away. That is, now when I click on a forum thread, I am taken to the top of the page (but the cursor is in the response box - if I scroll down I can see it). I know you have IE 8 and 7, so your mileage may vary. But if I were you I would try that compatibility icon again, so that it is grayed out. Then go to a new forum and experiment with a long thread. I hope it works for you.
  10. Yes, I too have had the same problem as Harry for a couple of months now!
I've tried the compatibility view, didn't help, so I've just been "living with it!"
I'm on XP and I think on Internet Explorer 8.
I'm taken to the bottom of the forum thread just as Harry describes, and it does make one think that the machine is focusing on the cursor in the response box although I know that is not the case.
