dan_culbertson1 Posted September 14, 1997 Share Posted September 14, 1997 As a young college student in 1974 I bought a Kowa 6x6 with my hard earned cash. It cost about $400 if I remember correctly. I was tickled pink with it for about a year when the dang crank jammed. The camera shop told me they wouldn't even open it up and look at it for less than $50. I went out and bought a YashicaMat for just a little more than that. The Kowa has been sitting in my closet for over twenty years now. I guess some day I'll get around to having it repaired. It IS a bit heavy compared to the Mamiya 7 I use now. But then it IS a TLR medium format camera and the depth of field preview was REAL nice!
