naomishi
Hey guys:) I am a beginner and the film camera (Kodak Star Autofocus 35mm) I recently bought seems to be stuck - the film advance button seems to not press all the way and is frequently jammed, and the shutter doesn't work. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot/fix this? Or is my camera a lost hope? Any advice would be appreciated!
ken_kuzenski
That's a big issue--there are a lot of possibilities there, and it would be easier to do some diagnosis with someone experienced holding the camera. Are there any experienced photographers around you could ask to take a look at it? The good news is that even if it's broken, you can get autofocus point-and-shoot film cameras about as inexpensively as it gets, so you will be able to replace it easily if you need to. Good luck! naomishi
thank you so much for your reply, it is relieving to hear someone else's opinion on this issue! I'm resigned on fixing the camera, and I think I will just buy another point-and-shoot camera...
