recgolfer
I have a Kodak No. 4 Panoram with pristine cosmetics. However, the shutter button is frozen, and one of the latches that keeps the back panel closed doesn't work well. That side keeps popping loose. Does anyone know of a repair shop that can fix these problems? Then there is the matter of adapting it for sheet film use. Thank you very much. john_shriver
I bet Flutot's Camera Repair can tackle it. But it is a crazy simple camera. The swinging lens mount is held in by pointed screw (and locknut) on bottom of camera. Shutter button unscrews. The mechanism is held in by screws up from below, you may have to remove other parts of the bottom to expose holes for a long skinny screwdriver. The patent drawing explains the mechanism pretty well. One of my Panoram's was missing the spring that pushes the shutter button back up. The latch probably needs filing to adjust the angle of attack. But this does all require some mechanical intuition.
recgolfer
John, I am no mechanical adept. I'll contact Flutot's. Thank you for your response.
John Robert
Any advice on removing shutter button, getting everything else sorted but can't get it unscrewed. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. I now realise that the threads on the shutter button are ruined! To access the hidden part of the mechanism to adjust the spring, I need to remove the shutter button but can only do that by sawing off threaded part! Any spares anybody? john_shriver
Nothing magical about the shutter button, a moderately long screw with the right threads should do. You could drill and re-tap the hole it goes in if necessary.
