Kodak HIE and 8008s...

I'm headed to Olympic NP and am planning on dabbling with some B&W

infrared in the rain forest. I have read up on using the HIE and

have found that there is something about the N80 that fogs infrared

film. Is there anything like that which I need to worry about with

my 8008s? I'm also bringing my FG-20 as a back up, and since that

was built in the manual ISO era I'm sure I can use that if I need

to, but I was wondering if anyone knew a definative answer regarding

the 8008s. Thanks!

I've shot many rolls of Kodak HIE infrared in my 8008s with no problems at all. The 8008s does not use an IR film counter like the new N80 & N75. Just make sure the foam around the little film window on back is in good shape. If it's deteriorated it may let light into the HIE.

I usually rate HIE at ISO 400 with a #25 red filter. Works well with TTL metering.
