revolver
I am so impressed and relieved at the quality of the pictures with this camera.

I just finally got to get out in the real world to try it out and I am beyond thrilled.

I used to have major problems with not being able to get a nice clear blue sky in some of my shots.

Like this example

jordan2240
Looks like the k100d shot, assuming that's what the first is, was just severely overexposing. I wonder if there was a problem with the meter, or perhaps there was a setting that you'd overlooked. I've occasionally set my camera up for overexposure (or under), then forgot I'd done it and left it there by mistake for shots that didn't need it.
Tim_Lookingbill
The first shot was taken with the K-50 with exposure set to "Landscape Mode" and metering set to spot. That's what the EXIF data says.

My K100D would always error on the safe side of underexposure to preserve highlights set to Program Mode and Metering set to Matrix, not Spot shooting similar scenes.

However, I have to say that's some darn good auto white balancing. My K100D would make it overly warm.
zane1664879013
I'm very pleased with the K-50 as well. It is the first camera that has made low-light shooting a pleasure for me.

revolver
Bill The forgetting to rest settings is one of my issues when I am out and about with "others" sometimes they become impatient when I'm trying to set up a shot lol
breadbin
Ah fantastic! Reminds me of the first picture I took with a manual camera (Olympus 8080). I was looking at the spire of a church which looked really well against the backdrop of a blue sky but kept getting washed out due to overexposure for the sky so I dialled it down a bit and was absolutely stunned! I have the K50 now too and love it. Thanks for sharing your pic and reminding me.
