des adams
I was wondering if anyone knows what lens he uses? 35/1.4?

ray .
Look just after 3:40- blurry close-up of the camera looks like '28' on the lens barrel.
akochanowski
he may even use more than one lens...
john sypal
He is featured in a Leica catalog from 2006, and at the end of the introductory paragraph it says he uses an M6 with a Summicron 35 Asph. I'd imagine that he does have more than a single body and one lens though.
des adams
Thanks very much everyone. I've only now discovered his work. Yes of course he may have other lens but I came upon a book of his images and they all looked consistent both in terms of great shots and a slight distortion of straight lines. All had a remarkable narrow depth of field considering he was snapping moving people and bubbles floating through the air. Again thanks everyone. alun
The majority of SIdeWalk looks like it's shot with a 28 but there are a handful of pictures where a longer lens is clearly used. It's great street photography, whatever he uses. rgds alun
des adams
Thanks Alun ... I couldn't decide 35 or 28 but because of the narrow DOF inclinded towards 35. he must shoot wide open. I agree great street photography and I'm glad I came across his work.
