iXpress digital back IR filter removal.

Recommended Posts

I have what appears to be mold growing/spreading under the IR filter of my digital back. Last year, same thing, and was requested to send it back to Denmark for a factory cleaning. Have YOU removed the IR filter and was it an easy task to do your own cleaning?
I would love to hear from you if you have removed your IR filter.
Thanks

The manual clearly states that you will ruin the sensor if you attempt to remove the IR filter. If it is indeed mold, then you are using or storing the camera under unsuitable conditions. Perhaps something else is going on. Are you using a liquid to clean the filter? If so, using what procedure?
