IXMOO Cassette Jammed

<p>I was able to get an IXMOO cassette for a reasonable price, however I cannot get film under the coil spring so that it will hold the film in place.</p>

<p>Looking through the slot it appears that there may be film jammed under the coil spring. I've tried clearing it with another piece of film and an X-acto knife but no luck. Additionally, I don't see how the coil spring is held into the spool slot (I was wondering if removing the spring would clear the jam).</p>

<p>How do I clear the jam under the coil spring?</p>

<p>At least in the earlier FILCA, the spring is held in by a bent piece of metal held by two small screws.<br>

You can always tape the film to the spool, and ignore the catch.</p>

<p>Hmm, found a picture of just a grey IXMOO spool in expired eBay listing, and it's different from the FILCA. It does have a pair of holes, perhaps there are set-screws in them?</p>

<p>I was able to fix it with some help from Tom Abrahamsson. I removed the flat spring, removed the u-shaped bar, leveraged the ribbed bar (I thought it was a coil spring earlier) out. Sure enough, it had a tiny piece of film jammed underneath it. Once cleared and re-assembled it worked again.</p>
