thanz
Hey guys! I just bought an Iskra and have had fun getting used to it. My question is I have noticed a little "play" in the lens assembly, not much, and I don't think it has affected my pictures any but I was wondering if there is an adjustment to tighten it. The lens assembly seems to move slightly forward and backward, the same motion as it does upon folding it closed. There is an adjustment screw to the lower right (camera facing you), would this be the adjustment to make? Thanks,Todd
william_barnett_lewis
No, that is for adjusting the rangefinder. I am not aware of any way to make the adjustment you're asking for as the standard is held to the frame by rivits. Perhaps a camera repair shop could tighten them, but I think you'll just have to live with it. If it's not bothering your shots, I'd say just to not worry about it. michael schub
Struts usually are tightened up by bending or using pliers at joints - more geometry than anything. I think there are some sites on repairing Moskva Russian folders and possibly some on Zeiss folders that might help. If not affecting the pictures I would leave it alone.
