Invoicing Late?

Hi,

Just a quick question for anyone based in the UK or knowledgeable on

UK business.

Is there a maximum amount of time you have to get an invoice in for a

job before you can no longer invoice for it?

Cut a long story short, I just found an invoice form from a company

for a job I did 7 months ago and am putting it in now.

Just thought I'd check and see if anyone knew if I should expect any

bona fide difficulties the client may raise.

I've managed to find out from a couple of sources that I have up to six years to get the invoice in... so all ok.

Thought I'd post my findings for future archive searchability as searching for any info online returns up a large amount of links to chase late payment.. but no info about invoicing late.
