sheridan
Dear readers. So much is written on the technical importance of up to date lens designs, resolution and so on. However, on a much needed trip away with my wife to Paris, and taking the minimum of Leica equipment ; 35mm,135mm, no flash or tripod I realized that often shooting at wide apertures allowed mobility and gave great satisfaction, especially for interior photos where no flash was allowed. Comments on enclosed photo, Victor Hugo's residence, are respectfully appreciated.
kevin_kolosky
Sheridan You have hit on a very important point that many forget, which is that its not the amount of equipment but rather the eye and soul of the photographer that makes for great photographs. I love your photo of Victor Hugo's residence. I wouldn't mind owning those chairs!!!! Kevin
albert knapp md
Sheridan: A great photo of one of the greatest novelists the world has ever known. Was this the house on the Place des Vosges? I haven't visited it since I was a boy but it is on the list now! If you enjoy Hugo?impressionists... may I suggest that on your next visit to Paris you DRIVE along the Seine through Normandie. You will pass all the spots where the latter painted and at Hermenonville, you will pass the area where Hugo's favorite daughter and her husband drowned accidentally over 150 years ago. The photographic possibilities on that trip are unrivaled.
