arthur_gottschalk
Can someone explain how the Imagon softness range works? Which aperture settings would create maximum sharpness and which would create maximum softness? Can someone suggest which apertures would be a good starting point for soft without going to extremes? john_stockdale2
I found some old documents on the internet and I downloaded them, page by page. I have them in a zip file and if you can't find them then PM me and I'll email it to you. It's 2.5MB. The important thing to remember when using it is that the unsharpness is formed (if the surrounding discs are open) by multiple images of every point and if there are specular highlights you'll get horrible bright dots around them. Lighting has to be more even.
john_stockdale2
If you can mount it on a DSLR then you can play with the settings. Results are reputed to be better with bigger negatives though.
