chiranjeeb_buragohain
Hi Bob, This is not really a nature photography question. But let me ask any way. Why is the image critique page dead? I think it was one of the nicest features of photo.net as long as it lasted. Can we have a resurrection? Chiranjeeb
bobatkins
The old pages are dead because I had to do work to keep them up (i.e. I had to hand code the pages, load the images etc.). New pages are "on the way" in which everything will be done automatically - all I would do would be to keep an eye on things to remove SPAM, insults and the like! I just don't have time to deal with a lot of submissions and keep everything organized. <p> I would also like to put up pages for reader contibuted "location" information. That too needs to be an automatic system which doesn't depend on me being directly involved. <p> Why is it taking so long? Only Philip is in a position to mess with the code that runs the photonet database system and Philip is really busy right now with important things like a Ph.D. thesis! However he's said he will try to help soon, so with a little patience, the critique pages will be back - and in a better format.
sean_hester
until the official photo.net image critique page is back, check out this photo.net spinoff. <p> http://sunrise.scu.edu/photo/ <p> it seems to get traffic in spurts...
