john carter
The Icarette is in pretty good condition for a 1920s camera, but I can't open the lens and bellows. If anyone can tell me how to do this thank you in advance.
rick_drawbridge
As I recall, there's a little bulge in the leatherette adjacent to the film winder, that has to be depressed. I no longer have an Icarette, so I'm speaking from the dim depths of memory!
john carter
Thank you, I can get the front open, but I can't slide the lens and bellows out. There has to be a key, latch, button, trick to slide it forward.
rick_drawbridge
As I recall, the Icarettes had two upright knobs mounted on the standard, just below the lens, and when these were pinched inwards towards each other the standard was freed, to slide on the track. Doesn't your model have these?
