I forsook the "automated rating machine" :-)

<p>(<em>no <strong>blame at all </strong> to the photo.net query system. To me it is fine as it is</em> ).<br /> <br /> I think it is biased because it shows me only photos of a certain time-frame, as does the critique forum.<br /> I now adopt a much more random approach, which gives me a wider "viewing range", considering:</p>

<ul>

<li>the photo.net members which I have marked as interesting</li>

<li>the photo-of-the-week photographers</li>

<li>their collection of photos marked as interesting</li>

<li>the other photographers they comment on</li>

<li>interesting and "intelligent" comments I come across now and then.</li>

</ul>

<p>This way I come in touch with really interesting photographers and photographs and I am neither biased by the timeframe of posting, nor by number of critiques or number of ratings.<br>

<br /> Personally, I don't care to rate at all, a photo is so complex (or simple) thing that it cannot be synthesised in a rating mark.</p>
