donald_brewster
I'm not aware of one, as I believe Saunders and Beseler only go to 20x24". But at 30x40" I would guess most printers would use a graphic arts vacuum easel. Expensive new, but often can be found reasonably priced used these days. On making an easel, see the following thread: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=004ehm&tag=
dpowis
They also have electrostatic easels for large formats. Don't know if they work for all types of paper though.
paul_hoyt
Ellen, It is very easy to make your own. A piece of MDF board 32X42 with a thin sheet of metal, steel (anything that a magnet will stick to) and two angle brackets. Size the metal sheet to 32X42 and glue the metal sheet to the MDF board, then attach the angle brackets to two sides of the board touching at one corner. Your paper will slip under the angle brackets and be held on two sides, you must position the angle barckets to hold the paper against the metal sheet and overlap the paper by 1/4 of an inch. The other two sides of the paper are held down with Al-Ni-Co magnets. You can paint the metal sheet with a flat gray paint to keep it from "bouncing" the enlarger light if necessary. philip_glass
Saunders used to make one! I would call omega-satter which now owns Saunders' designs and see if they still have one. If not, I suggest you use a vacuum easel, or make your own.
