I am a photographer because (Insert YOUR answer here)

<p><strong>I am a photographer because: </strong> I want to leave something behind of myself for when I am long gone for other people to see how the world was.</p>

 

<p>Ever since I quit smoking, I find myself unable to communicate with anyone unless there is something in my hands.</p>

<p>I am a photographer because that's what people choose to call me when they see me taking photographs or see my works displayed. In other moments I am a cabinet maker, hiker, father, classical music lover, car enthusiast, etc. etc. I've enjoyed using cameras and darkrooms since I was a kid, and some of my most endearing photos have survived all those years. The digital age just brought new tools and learning challenges.</p>

<p>…I'm always taking photographs.</p>

<p>Because... it takes oil paint too long to dry, and I have all these cameras laying around and people are always asking me "are you a photographer?"</p>

<p>because...</p>

<p>i never lerned to rite good.</p>

<p>It is how I express what I see.</p>

<p>Because I am a gifted person and photography gives me something creative to latch on to that is ever changing and satisfying...I use photography to help define me and my being. I may not be a super photographer, but I am out there improving in my own little ways.</p>

<p>...when I'm not photographing I feel strongly that I need to be.</p>

<p>1. Documentary. I could tell the stories, but photos picture the events/moments better.<br>

2. Art. I love being creative. It's all about the mastery of the rule of thirds. Yeah!</p>

<p>...... it is so different from my other job.</p>

<p>I can't stop.</p>

<p>Because I can't afford booze and pills. (film is cheaper, really)</p>

<p>...the world is full of wonders, waiting to reveal themselves to me, so that I can share them with others.</p>

<p>I can walk in the woods all day and people think I'm working -- besides, I can't paint.</p>

<p>...because I love photography and cameras.</p>

<p>..... it allows me to combine my geeky love of gear with my artistic nature. Its also a lot of fun/frustrating to constantly chasing that perfect shot.</p>

...because of all the money and chicks photo-website nerds get. What's that? They don't? Oh. That would explain a lot of

things.

<p>... because I get to hang out of helicopters and planes ...</p>

<p>Because it is the most entertaining magic trick I've ever seen.</p>

<p>Because i couldn't make it as a punker.</p>

<p>it's the most gratifying thing I'm capable of. JR</p>

<p>.....because every time I see a captured image it astounds me that I can capture something like that.....even the crap....heh.....told ya my new buzz word was gonna be crap. But seriously......stop and think.....you can take the world AND your feelings/impressions of it and put it onto a 2 dimensional object like a piece of paper. It just doesn't get any better.</p>

<p>...because it gives me something creative to do (however badly!) in a life that is otherwise quite logical, rational and serious.</p>

<p>...because it forces me to actively look at, rather than to passively see, the world.</p>
