shuo_zhao
After successfully upgrading the firmwares on my D300 (Thanks to Wayne), I tried to do the same for the D40. But it seems that there's only 1 firmware file extracted from the download. (unlike the 2 seperate firmware files extracted from the D300 download) I was able to upgrade the A firmware on the D40 to the latest 1.12 version; while the B firmware remains at 1.11 version.

Do you guys know what I should do to get it right?
ShunCheung
Perhaps you want to read this description again: http://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27321
It sounds like the upgrade is for the A side only. B remains at 1.1.

ShunCheung
Along with the introduction of the D5000, Nikon is upgrading the EN-EL9 battery to the EN-EL9a, which has slightly more capacity. The whole point for this particular firmware upgrade is for the D40 (and D40x) to take full advantage of the new EN-EL9a. So unless you are planning to use that new battery on your existing cameras, there is no point for this firmware upgrade.
