Ed_Ingold
The film cassette is probably inserted incorrectly. If the film is not advancing, try opening the back in a completely dark room or changing bag, rewind the film manually (to the feed spool), and try using the back without film. The counter should advance anyway, even without film. When you remove the insert, the counter will rewind to zero. Wind the crank on the back until it stops, and the counter should read 1. Make sure the camera is COCKED before replacing the back. Attach the back, and withdraw the dark slide (which blocks the shutter release). Then wind off frames as though there were film, clicking the shutter release. The counter should advance each time to #12, then prevent further winding.. At this point you would wind the small crank until the film is completely on the takeup spool. If the counter does not work properly, the back needs to be repaired. The takeup spool pulls the film. The knurled spool engages a splined driver in the back. There is a cam which advances to adjust the distance the film is wound to compensate for the growing diameter of the takeup spool. Make sure you are loading the film correctly. It must go UNDER the tab which keeps it from snagging when you replace the insert. You must temporarily use the turnkey to the locked position to raise the tab for loading, then return it to the open position to clamp the film. It releases when you lock the insert in place. justin_ng1
Nothing works... Everything works right expect for the back film lever. I can only reset the counter to zero, nothing else. The film cartridge opens, and even tried cocking the body first then putting the back in
justin_ng1
There's nothing I can do... Advanced the body, white spot, white spot in the film back which never changed, fired, both red, still can't turn the advance lever in the back
Ed_Ingold
Backs do stiffen up and parts wear out. Fortunately repairs are relatively inexpensive. I'm happy with Hasselblad, New Jersey. There ia a contributor to PNET who is a factory-trained Hasselblad repairman (forget the name).
justin_ng1
Well I think it was my fault and wasn't the parts fault. Any way I can fix it?
Ed_Ingold
Do the serial numbers on the back and insert match? Ordinarily the only problem incurred in a mismatch is alignment of the thin rollers on the back and insert, but who knows?
