How to load film for Minox EC/ECX

FILM LOADING or Minox EC/ECX: Step (1) open camera, press down the metal key at viewfinder window at rear to full open the camera, turn the film counter dial at back of camera

with thumb to LOADING position: 15 EXP film at red line before 15; 36 EXP film at red line before 36; 30 exp film at #32. Step 2. Drop in the Minox film cassette, there is only one way you can do it. Step 3. Push back the camera back. Pull push camera and press the release shutter two times

to set the counter to start position: 15 EXP film at # 15; 36 EXP film at # 36; 30 EXP film at # 30. Step 4. Turn FILM SPEED snail gear near shutter release to set ASA/DIN. The camera is now ready for use.

Minox EC/ECX has down counter, film ends at #0 position of counter. Do not pass #0 , otherwise the film lead may be drawn completely into the take up side. Minox EC/ECX has "freewheeling" mechanism, you may pull open camera, take a look through viewfinder, if you decide the view is not worth taking, you may close the camera, and the film will not advances to next frame, unlike

II/III/IIIs/B. For Minox EC/ECX film advances to next position only after you press the shutter release.
