How Manual Focus when Batch Scanning on Nikon 5000?

<p>Hello,<br /> On the Nikon 5000, I know that one can manually focus to a particular point on a single frame: ie, Hold down Ctrl, click on tiny checkerboard icon, and then (while continuing hold down Ctrl) clicking the area on negative/transparency where one wishes the scanner to calibrate the focus distance.<br /> But what's the procedure when one wishes to do manually focus multiple frames during a batch scan?... <br /> For example, in the dialogue box, does one <strong>deselect autofocus</strong>? (see photo) after manually selecting the focus spot for each frame? In this case, will the program remember each manual focus point?</p><div></div>

<p>Try it and see. I doubt it will prompt you to focus. I think it will just leave the focus as is for each pic. I think you'd be better off enabling AF.</p>
