pinky_mirror
I just don't believe my last experience. My CF120 had been back from repaired, like ten days ago. The changed the main spring, as it was broken. Yesterday, the lens failed me again. And today, I got the news from the service center, the new main spring was broken. Anyone experience like this? david_papas
I would hope there is a warrenty on the repair after only 10 days! I could be wrong, but I belive that Hasselblad has been retrofitting earlier lenses with the newer stronger mainsprings that come in the CFE and CFi series lenses. You might ask about that too. pinky_mirror
It is still under warranty. Newer main springs didn't match for CF120, the repair said.

simonpg
Possibly 30 + years. Maybe 40+ years. Point is that original CF springs are generally extremely long life items. These days a repairer sourcing a replacement spring will be given the new CFi/CFE type since they are fully compatible with CF lenses (original CF lens springs are no longer made) which is said to have an even longer life - so long that who would care when it will give up as the user will certainly be well dead from old age. It is very possible the item fitted to your lens was not a new item or just the one in 1,000 that is defective or the fitter did something wrong.
