ellis_vener_photography
Just a reminder Hugh, If you are going to work with 16 bpc TIFF/PSD files, use Pro Photo as your color space. You can use Adobe RGB(1998) but everything I've read from people I respect (like the late Bruce Fraser, Jeff Schewe, MArtin Evening, John PAul Caponigro, and Joe Holmes) recommend Pro Photo (or alternatively Holmes' DCam color space (not available in Adobe Camera Raw unfortunately) for 16bpc work.
keith_durnford
When acr is open you will see right at the bottom something along the lines of 'srgbIEEC62-8bit;4096x3026(13.4mp)300ppi' click on this and a radio box will open, click on the second box down - Depth - then click on 16 Bits/Channel and then click OK, you will then be in 16 bit tiff mode when you open your image up.
