mark_stephan2
Purchased a Sony refurbished A77 on eBay which is like new in every way. I want to determine the shutter count on this camera and my other A77 as well. What software do I need? Searched the internet but didn't find anything that worked... : -(
james_f6
This does it
http://tools.science.si/index.php
I tried it, and it seem pretty accurate, Sony, let alone Minolta never released shutter count software, and no one has ever come up with one till now. It was always the domain of the Canon and Nikon models only.
Finally many Sony users can now do it, and it is basically still unknown to people this method and website.
mark_stephan2
James, it works! Looks like my new camera has 83 shutter clicks, most of those put on by me!
mark_stephan2
James, thanks again for your help. I just posted a message on the Dyxum Sony forum telling them how to determine clicks. Hope someone there finds it useful.
lintrathen
James, thanks for that link.
Regrettably for me, the units that it does not support are the units I own. A bit of "sods law" here (smiles)
Best regards
