How did they do that ?

Im wondering if anybody knows of a site/book that would be aimed

specifically at people portraits and some of the effects you can use

on them. I am looking for a book/site that would show examples of

the look or finshed product and then give the lesson on how to get

it. BTW I have photoshop cs. I have looked through so many that

cover the entire gamut of photoshop but haven't seen any that go

into thisa area in more detail. I appreciate the help!

Are you looking for a book aimed at photoshop, & post processing effects, or portrait / studio effects? (Gels, snoots, gobos, Shadows, etc.) What types of effects are you looking for?

Oops, Thank You Mike I didnt realize I had left that open. No I'm actually looking for photoshop based effects on portraits. Specifically I am looking to build a wedding photo site. I have been browsing other sites and see some photos with a high key effect which retains skin-tones which I do not know how to do. I would just kind of like a book that more focuses on that type of thing rather than design. Thanks Again Mike.

A good idea is to do what they often do. If you post one of your

images and provide a link to a image with the style you want, Im

sure some of us here can post examples of what could be done

to your image to mimic it ( or how to photograph it ), and tell how

it was done ( cheaper than a book =) ).
