How about a Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 thread

Over on the other forum I post in, one member started a Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 thread and so I thought I would post

the same here....

It has been a while since I used mine so, I pulled out my Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 this morning and shot a few flowers

on my way to work. It was a nice cloudy morning so I had good light. I was using my sons K100D Super for these

since it was handy...

No time for cropping or PP just resizing...

Thanks Haig, This lens has a cult following among the Pentax world. It is one of those lenses that all should have. It is great in low light and the close focusing makes it ideal for small object. This lens has always been know for its great contrast and colors...My favorite was also number 1 and 6. They where both shot in bright mode with fill flash.

I lusted over this lens for 6 months until I finally got it. The focal lengths suit me just fine on APS-C, as I'm

not a wide guy, and the close-focusing (which remains constant throughout the focal range) is great. Here's some

proof, and I applogise for posting it so large but I want you guys to appreciate the detail captured:<br>

Mis, That is awesome. I saw that in your gallery the other day and was wowed as well....

Here is another I shot a this morning as well...I do like the close focusing capabilities of this lens allot as

well...

Mis, I dedicate this image to you. I converted it to black and white in CS3.....Its a racing piston. These are

tough to shoot because of the polished aluminum...

Javier, those spark plug photos are getting me sparked up, but I don't think it's the plug...

Dave, I'm surprised you weren't aware of this lens. All I can say is this: I didn't lust over it for 6 months for

nothing...and I wasn't disappointed.

After the FA 50mm f/1.4, it's the best value-for-money lens out there. Anyone disagree?

Bought/exchanged 3 from B&H and had to return all of them. First one didn't have BF/FF issues but was ultra fuzzy at 70mm (even doing portraits). Second one BF badly at 28mm. Third one BF slightly at 28mm and was fuzzy at 75mm but had been used (no clue why B&H would exchange a defective lens for a used one)-:

I must admit, it's been a while since I looked at photos of spark plugs with such interest :-) And Michael.. please don't make suggestions like that.. It's bad enough me thinking about buying another lens without you adding another one! lol. Well, other then Ken, there seem to be no complaints.
