High School football

I shot high school and college football for years using film and my

F5. Not sure which 400/5.6 lens you have, but most such lenses are awfully slow to autofocus which makes the task more difficult.

In any case - I strongly recommend using Fuji 800 speed NPZ. You are going to need the speed. Since I shot with a 300 2.8, I always exposed the 800 film at 640 since most print film (especially the Fuji ones) love a slight overexposure. In your case, try it at 640 if you have enough light - otherwise shoot it at 800.

This film also works well exposed at ISO 1600 and processed with a one stop push. I found that pushing NPZ 800 to 1600 yielded better results than using the Fuji 1600 film.

Good luck. feel free to email me if you want any more specifics.
