HELP, outdoor portrait tips

Well depending on who and where and weather conditions, warm clothes, hair stylist, makeup artist, a bunch of lighting gear and a few assistants might come in handy. :)

Without a little more info from you, it's hard to suggest. BTW what is a high fstop? Small f-stops are usually f8-16, large ones are f1.2 - 4, depending on your lens on 35mm format film. Some large format film cameras have f11 as a large stop and go down to f64.

Seriously, click on this link http://www.photo.net/learn/portraits/ its in the Learning Tab up top. There might be some good guidance there.

Avoid direct sunlight, a reflector is a great tool. if you don't have one you can use a white Styrofoam or something white that is easy to carry with you (an assistant is great to) If you have a flash you can use it as fill flash. Avoid wide angle lenses for portraits. And the most important, have fun!
