Hello... I'm Travone :)

<p>Hi. I'm from Stratford, CT. and I currently go to school in Springfield, MA. I'm interested in music, art, film, photography, and tech. I really like most all photography but I especially gravitate towards social photography, or anything that depicts emotion to me. I want to learn how to become efficient with a camera and also learn specific techniques such as bokeh and double exposure. I just recently bought a Pentax K1000. It is my first camera. I'm looking to get a Nikon d40 next. I currently cannot use my Pentax due to problems with the lens, which after this I will look for the appropriate place to post a question about that haha. <p>Nothing like a K1000. I have a feeling that there are thousands of photo.net photographers who started out on the same camera. I know I had two of them.</p>

<p>Uh, why the D40? I for one advise against entry-level cameras for beginners, and the Nikon D40 has some distinct disadvantages.</p>

<p>You can use your PK stuff on Pentax dSLRs and adapt it on Canon EOS cameras, where even the light meter fully works in Av mode. Glad we could help you with that lens issue.</p>
